The Anchorage ATHENA Society is pleased to announce the inductees into the Class of 2025. A group of 14 women and this year’s Leadership Award recipient will be honored at the annual Anchorage ATHENA Society luncheon Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Hotel Captain Cook. This year’s inductees are:

The ATHENA Leadership Award, the Society’s highest award, recognizes an ATHENA inductee for exceptional service. This year’s honoree is Janis Fleischman, co-owner of Fire Island Rustic Bakeshop.
The Anchorage ATHENA Society is a program of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, celebrating professional excellence, commitment to community, and the encouragement of leadership potential of women.
Doors open for the March 17 luncheon at 11:30 am and the program begins at noon.

The Anchorage ATHENA Society, a program of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, offers camp scholarships to local young women residing in Anchorage, who have finished their freshman year of high school through 18 years of age, for an opportunity to learn leadership skills, to learn about innovation, start-ups, entrepreneurship and gain business expertise. Eleanor Andrews, founder of the Anchorage ATHENA Society
The Anchorage ATHENA Society has 371 members, representing a diverse group of professionals. The first Anchorage award was given to Dr. Joyce Murphy in 1988 and then in 1995 it was presented to Eleanor Andrews. That year, Eleanor traveled to the National ATHENA Conference which inspired her to found our local group. To read more, click here.
